Caption a Captured Moment

“Come and see quickly”, said the booming voice.
I hurried downstairs, eager not to miss whatever it was.

“O my word, we’ve got to show him”, I thought.
A fabulous experience to have, no doubt!

I expected his curiosity to be ignited,
His slow reaction, I couldn’t understand.

‘Call him to look,’ I insisted to my husband.
But his best efforts were mostly ignored.

I couldn’t give up though, I’ve got to capture something,
I ran for the camera, hoping somewhat,
That I could perhaps … possibly get it,
Recording a measure of the moment.

I looked and quickly clicked,
For more shots, I desperately hoped.

My captured moment, note the easiest to capture. It's waiting to be captioned by you. :-) Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be; … so sad.
More important things for him to regard.

The moment I captured makes me smile.
I wonder what he thought, of it all.

Any guesses about his thoughts in this moment?

Go on, what do you think?

  1. oh children adore rainbows don’t they? My little man is forever chasing them in our house on a bright sunny day xxx

    • Thanks for dropping by. Mine is quite there yet; I’m guessing it’s because he can’t hold it and put it in his mouth :-). I really look forward to when he starts chasing it; this must be so much fun! Another thing to look forward to on the parenting road. Thanks for dropping by. πŸ™‚

  2. Welcome to the “Rainbow Fairy”. My son’s kindergarten teacher had something somewhere in the classroom which produced those flashes of rainbow colours, which she called the Rainbow Fairy. She enchanted the children, including our younger child who often visited the classroom while I was helping out. My kids are now 11 and 9 and they will never forget the Rainbow Fairy or the enchantment. xx Rowena

    • How sweet … I didn’t know you could produce rainbows at will; I need to get hold of this rainbow fairy soon. Such beautiful memories last a lifetime really, don’t they! Thanks for dropping by and sharing πŸ™‚

  3. I would love to know what was going through his head in this photo. What a great pic. #mycapturedmoment

  4. What a beautiful moment. Rainbows are exciting wherever you see them.
Keep snapping – I’ve got loads of photos like this. Most only mean something to me. Thanks for sharing with us x

    • Thanks so much for your lovely comment. It was indeed a very beautiful moment that I just about captured. I shall keep snapping, and hopefully capture more lovely moments. These moments might mean nothing to others, but they are sure filled with lovely memories for the person who captures them. Let’s keep capturing, Beth. Thanks for dropping by.

  5. What a magical moment to capture! Isn’t it amazing to see all these things through the eyes of your child, they find amazement in everything. However, this is truly a wondrous thing – a rainbow on the floor!!

    • The discovery of the world through a child’s eye is mind-boggling, breathtaking and so much more. A real, ‘wow’. Their amazement is also captivating and contagious. I wish I captured the moment when he had the rainbow in his arm and shoulder afterwards; he was way to fast for my snapping πŸ™ πŸ™‚ Thanks for your lovely linky.
